Mike Boyd

is a highly awarded 2x world champion/University of North Texas trained/member of The Recording Academy (elite) Drummer/Musician/Producer/Instructor/DJ in the Denver Metro area. Mike has performed over 715 gigs in the past 5 years, including (but not limited to) being featured at Denver's Westword Music Showcase, Denver's Underground Music Showcase, the Denver Day of Rock, the Rocky Mountain Music Festival, Channel 93.3's Big Gig, 99.5 The Mountain's Homegrown Showcase, Denver's October Fest, the Colorado Music Showcase at SXSW, Deadwood Jam, and many more. Mike has shared the stage with some of music's biggest acts including (but not limited to) The Smashing Pumpkins, Finch, Dance Gavin Dance, Marcy Playground, Cowboy Mouth, Johnny Craig, Chevelle, Everclear, and many more. Mike has worked with highly acclaimed musicians and producers including Academy Award nominated and Emmy winning producer (film) Bob Carmichael, Grammy Award nominated and Emmy winning producer (music) Matt Dalton, guitarist Kyle Browning of Drop Dead, Gorgeous, and more. Mike has toured nationally with his various bands, including three national tours with the "World Class"/World Champion Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps ('04, '05, '06). Mike is an award winning participant and educator with the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association (RMPA), Winter Guard International (WGI), the Colorado Bandmasters Association (CBA), Drum Corps International (DCI), and many more. To date Mike has published three studio records, and is currently working on new music (Mike Boyd Drums). Mike has been featured on several Denver radio stations, TV, as well as being featured in several notable magazines including (but not limited to) Denver's Westword Magazine, The Rooster, The Denver Post, as well as being featured on the cover of Drum Pro Magazine's Fall 2003 issue #2. Mike's drumming can be heard on various promotional/commercial videos, and his music has been featured by Eddie Bauer for the winter 2008-2009 ski collection. Mike is also one of the 1st ever drummers for both the Denver Nuggets (NBA), and the Denver Broncos (NFL). Mike is endorsed by Sabian Cymbals and Vater Percussion.
